Some new Legowelt jams

I should check that shit more often, Legowelt has also posted a few new tracks on his site some days ago and they're pretty deep mutated Detroit styled workouts. As always hard to put your finger on, but nonetheless cool as a moose in a bucket of ice water. Technoooo

Egypt Friend Intestine Muxtape

Scheveningen local and all out freakazoid Egypt Friend Intestine has done a cool trainspotter friendly Mondo Muxtape for your entertainment, education and listening pleasure.

Let the good times roll

And here's a video to get y'all prepped for the weekend.

M-Division on air

Talk about your common sense. In a climate of ever declining record sales and a vinyl market that is in worse shape then US real estate, Melbourne natives M-Division have taken it upon themselves to spit in the face of providence and start a new record label! Bold as this move may seem to the unsuspecting bystander, the concept is actually pretty cool and might just work (if label owner Not Happy Jan is willing to eat rice and beans for the next three years or so). Anyway, their website has just gone live so check it out!

Alien Soundtracks

Formed in 1976, Chrome was one of the original forefathers in the industrial boom of the 1980s. They created an unprecedented amalgam of distorted guitars and vocals, samples from TV, with a raw punk aesthetic (inspired by the Stooges) that included tape machines, electric violin and Moog.

Their sound hasn't lost much of its impact today, so there is absolutely no excuse not to download this 3CD Box, so generously provided by Anthems From The Alleyways, and spin the LIVING HELL out of it.

Mind Fuck Mondays #7; Langweiligkeit

Langweiligkeit Records presents the first video for RENE SG at Mind Fuck Mondays tonight. After the presentation the band will perform, and if you bring a memory stick (or, to annoy the bejesus out of them, 15 or so 1.44mb floppy disks) you can take the clip home to watch it at your leisure.
Other attractions of the night are Matthijs Ros, Sconez, Numtek & DJ Mindfuck Mondays. People too lazy to move their feet can watch B-MEN (CxC) do a live-painting.

Legowelt in Ankara this weekend

Hm, the title is pretty selfexplanatory so I wont repeat myself in this post. Its at Locus Solus, with that hairy fellow from Diskokaine. Drop by if its in yo hood!

Sternstudio's leap into the future

Sternstudio has upgraded its already pretty darn fancy website with a state of the art mediaplayer (scroll down, cause its more or less hidden). With great extended features such as "play", "pause" and "volume", this nifty little gadget is sure to give you hours of pleasure!

Hey its Orgue related, so the kitty is complimentary.

Marcello Giombinni's ARPocalypse

Maybe its mustard after the meal for some of you but here are two soundtracks nobody should miss.

The late Marcello Giombinni (1928-2003) produced some of the greatest, most haunting medievalesque electronic horror scores ever to creep its way into the mind of the listener. Two of them (Antropophagus & Le Notti Erotiche dei Morti Viventi) sadly never officially made it to vinyl or any other format. Lucky for us someone has taken it upon himself to piece them together from the movies and has put together a great CD that you can download here. Absolument essential for anyone into Italian horror and obscure electronics.

Some limited repressings in da pipyline

Limited repressings of the following Creme classiques will be available in a week or two through our mailorder, Clone and quality record shops (like Cobra Nero - if that shit is ever gonna open);

Bangkok Impact - Aspirin/Junge Dame (Creme 12-03). The original Finnish bubblegum electro hit.
Bangkok Impact - Junge Dame Remixes (Creme 12-03R). The Junge Dame takes a melancholic turn with remixes by Legowelt, Orgue Electronique, Kassen etc.
Legowelt - Under the Pandamoon (Creme 12-13). Excellent over-saturated and depressed La Haya Synth-techno, made in the aftermath of the Disco Rout apocalypse. Contains the hit Pandamonium.
Nami Shimada - Sunshower (Creme 12-17). Vintage Japanese Chicago Deep-House with adorable vocals by J-Pop icon Nami Shimada. As played by Larry Levan & co. Comes with a Legowelt remix.
Alexander Robotnick - Darkside of the Spoon (Creme 12-22). Deep smooth Disco roller from 1982 thats lightyears ahead of its time gets the hipster treatment by Bangkok Impact and Lindstrom/Prince T. Original included, thank god.

Znort!

No reason in particular, just thought I'd start off the day with a picture of my favorite nihilist.

Elektrowashed down the tube

Stress relief

Orgue Electronique continues to destroy everything in his path with a unique hybrid of vintage Detroit and Chicago with a touch of G-Strings. To help you through this dreary monday, here's a preview of a new album track by him, Relief Me (which we assume means Relieve Me, but what the heck, its just a working title). Dig the gratuitous cat shot too. Orgue likes cats.

GMBM - investigation into the paranormal - EVP

Last night the "Good Machine, Bad Machine" team of paranormal investigators explored the mysteries of EVP. Hosted by Melbourne's own Watson, Not Happy Jan, this will prove to be a haunting journey into the murky world of unexplained Electronic Voice Phenomena.

"Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) concerns unexpected voices found in recording media. It is a form of after death communication."
Read more about this pseudo-scientific notion here.

Galaxy Toobin' Interview

"The thought of gently cruising through space while cushioned in the rubbery cradle of the inner tube of a tractor tyre is one that most of us will have touched upon when very stoned. Now Galaxy Toobin’ Gang have composed the perfect soundtrack for this infinite journey."

Vice have interviewed the gang. Read the article here.
